Tayte Belstra was born with partial agenesis of corpus callosum — a partial or complete absence of an area of the brain that connects its two cerebral hemispheres.
Officers met with Tayte Monday at the Troop B Hope Station, where the child was able to talk with troopers, meet the Colonel and get behind the wheel of a troop car.
Tayte was joined by his parents, as well as Department of Transportation Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti and Hope Township Mayor Tim McDonough.
“Tayte’s bright smile was all the sunshine needed on this Monday afternoon,” state police said on Facebook.
